Altoona Insulation was founded in 2018 by a crew that grew up right here in Altoona and understood the city well - the old railroad-era homes, the drafty basements, the winters that make a poorly insulated house miserable from November through March.

We started with a simple idea: homeowners in central Pennsylvania deserve an insulation contractor who shows up on time, explains the work in plain language, and does the job right the first time. No upselling. No disappearing after the check clears.

Altoona has a large share of homes built before the 1950s - homes that were never designed with modern energy efficiency in mind. Much of what we do is help those homeowners catch up: sealing air leaks, upgrading thin or aging insulation, and making older homes as comfortable and affordable to heat as a newer one. The Allegheny Mountain winters here are long, and the savings from a properly sealed home add up fast.

Since 2018, we have grown to serve 12 communities across central Pennsylvania, including Hollidaysburg, State College, Huntingdon, and Johnstown. The work is still local, the crew is still local, and the commitment is the same as day one.
